There are times when children may feel sad, lonely, confused or angry and may become withdrawn or challenging in their behaviour at home or at school. Counselling can offer emotional support in a safe environment for children who experience difficult thoughts and feelings that are overwhelming, or are unable to be contained.
Counselling can help young people make sense of their feelings, thoughts and behaviours and support them as they navigate relationships with friends and family, and deal with pressures at school and in socially. Being able to talk in a safe environment with clear boundaries gives them the opportunity to express difficult or confused feelings.
Sometimes we feel down without fully understanding the reason why. Counselling gives you the opportunity to explore issues affecting your life in a safe and confidential environment. It can help lead to positive change with increased self-confidence, self-esteem and the ability to face the future.
